Yuchooze finally got it's name. From the beginning I couldn't decide on a great name for the company, and I was chatting to my wife about this, probably once to often as she came back at me, oh "you choose", I then though... yes, youchoose, yes! You choose the environment, you choose the oceans, it fitted everything but because certain domain names weren't available, I ended up choosing Yuchooze.
They all agreed friction was the only way to get anything like what I needed, I had to change the design of the wristband. Yuchooze is now a wristband with a secret opening with a retainer that allows a tablet to be pressed onto the blades to hold it in position whlilst rubbing the tablet over the hair and body.
I then contacted Fab Lab in Manchester to create 3d plastic prints of the wristband heads so that I could test the tablets. I later contacted 2 more forumlation chemists and a Welsh University, all with the same brief. After 18 months of tests, pretty much all at the same time they said this method wasn't possible as the water running over the tablet would make the scent weak.
I contacted my first formulation chemist, who thought it was a really good idea, but after 18 months of testing, I decided he wasn't giving me what I needed. At this point, I also needed the product to hold the tablets.
The idea was to have a wristband that would stretch over anyone's shwoer head and the tablet would dissolved in therunning water and provide a shower experience.
I contacted Uncle Joe's Mintballs in Wigan and made an appointment to discuss my problem, but they couldn't help. I then came up with the idea to create a 3 in 1 shampoo, bodywash and conditioner tablet that would have these aromas.
Yuchooze started off by taking a shower using polo mints and elastic bands. The polos were fed through the elastic, which was stretched over the shower head, and it worked, but only for about 20 seconds as the sugar quickly dissolved. This then progressed onto Uncle Joe's mint balls, Foxes Glacier mints and Winter Nips, but none lasted long enough.
Through a lack of eucalyptus aroma in Wigan's gym steam saunas, Yuchooze was born. Initially I was looking to create my own personal steam shower with aromas at home.

A Wiganer is on a one-man crusade to help reduce the world’s plastic bottle waste with a unique new body wash dispenser system.
The test run of my mates wristband. And honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. The tablet was easy to install into the wristband and stayed in place for the duration of the shower. Much more foam that I expected which felt like you was having a shower with the more standard bottled shower gel. A few tweaks may be needed but overall it gets a decent 8 out of 10.
